Of all the elopements I had the pleasure to plan, this was my favorite one.
Marc & Jaclyn wanted an intimate ceremony following the Jewish traditions and I was so honored to be part of it.
First they signed the Ketubah, then Jaclyn walked down the aisle, turning 7 times around Marc with the violinist playing “Sunrise, sunset”.
Jaclyn the “kallah” seemed a fairy, smiling at her “chatan”, Marc, under a florally decorated Chuppah on the rooftop of Ca’ Sagredo.
I will never forget the way they looked at each other; the look of … “I know I found my Bashert “… how lucky!!
We said the prayer over the wine “Barukh ata Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha‑olam, bo’re p’ri hagafen” before they shared their Kiddush cup.
When they exchanged their wedding vows, it was hard for me not to cry…
It wouldn’t have been a Jewish ceremony without crushing the glass, and the Mazel Tov song at the very end.
I can’t Thank you enough, Marc & Jaclyn , for having chosen me as your wedding planner and officiant.
MAZEL TOV !!
